Publix will be closing my pharmacy on Dec. 20th (along with 5 others company wide)! :( I guess the economy is that bad. I am so sad!! That has been my 2nd home for the last 8 years and I love the people I work with!! My job is secure and the other pharmacists and myself will become "floaters" until they find us permenant stores. This really stinks too because I am such a control freak and now I'm going to have to go into other pharmacies that are run much different from how I run mine. It's going to be very hard for me! Plus, I won't be with Greg :( My district manager has a posititon she would like me to take starting in early '09 that I am thinking about. Publix is getting a new computer program, the same as Walgreens uses, (ours is a dinosaur, its similar to the old DOS systems). They would like me to travel around to different pharmacies and send a week at each store training them on the new system. It would be great for me as I pick up things easily and am pretty computer savvy. Plus I think it will be a good experience for me and maybe open some more doors. The only bad part is the wear-and-tear of my car. So I'm considering it and will give updates as I get more info.
Another good thing is that I recently started attending a new church with an old family friend, and so far I really like it. It is a VERY small church, but there are a few families that go there that I grew up with so it's nice to have people I know and feel welcome (we had a bad experience at one church where we were practically ignored!) I've got my parents to start going with me and they like it as well. The church is looking for a new Pastor right now, as our current Pastore wants to retire at the beginning of the year. I am praying they will find a younger Pastor who has a great vision for the church that will help us grow. So keep our little church in your prayers please!!
Also, 2 more weeks till Jenn visits! I am sooo excited!!!
I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving with their loved ones!!

Oh no! I am so sorry to hear about your pharmacy! I am super relieved that you still have a job though. God provides. The training job sounds awesome!
I hope you and Jay have a great Thanksgiving. I cannot wait to come visit! :) :)
